Activating Media Center Stocks

Before you can make use of Media Center Stocks, you have to activate it.
Please do so the first time you start the application.

Monitor your stocks

Now you can use Media Center Stocks to keep an eye on the stocks of your interest.
To do so, please:

  • go to the Start page of the Media Center application
  • select the option called "Accessories"
  • and click the option called "Stocks"

 

Adding stocks

The first time you start Media Center Stocks, you'll see an empty page.
So the first thing you should do is to add the stocks of your interest.

To do so, press the button called "Add stock". That will take you to this page:

In the textfield you can enter the name or symbol of the stock or index you want to add.
If you then press the "Search" button, a list of stocks will be presented that match the stockname you entered.
Now it's a matter of simply selecting the stock you want to add.

 

Stocks overview

Once you've added the stocks you want to monitor, the main page of Media Center Stocks will look like this:

The overview shows:

  • the name of the stock
  • it's most recently known price
  • and the price delta


Everytime you start Media Center Stocks, it will update the data. It will show an indication of that in the right bottom corner of the page:

 

Detailed information and graphs

If you select a stock in the overview, you'll be taken to a page that shows detailed information about the stock:

On this page you can see multiple graphs, showing the historic price development of the selected stock.
Below the graph the most recently known information about the stock is displayed.

 

A word of warning...

The information presented by Media Center Stocks is pretty up-to-date, but not 100%; there's always a delay.
So, this is not a tool for day traders! Your use of Media Center Stocks is at your sole risk.
